This Celtic Cross with Stylized Roses is a design I hold dear. I drew it over a decade ago, and this is the third time I’ve revisited it, working to find the perfect medium to do it in.
The watercolor and ink feel like the perfect fit, and I absolutely love how it turned out.
Each rose is a different color symbolizing a different aspect of our relation ship with Christ: the red is His love; the purple His passion and royalty; the pink is our gratitude to him; orange is our fascination with Him; yellow is the friendship He offers us; blue is for the mysteries of His gifts; white symbolizes His innocence and black His death.
The symbolism in the artwork makes it a perfect gift for baptisms, confirmations or for anyone who enjoys crosses.
